Afosto CMS - Apps - Hreflang plugin (EN)

Afosto CMS offers the possibility to link pages of different languages. This allows a visitor to be easily directed to a page written in his or her language.

The steps below describe how to set up the plugin.

1. To use the Hreflang plugin, it must first be installed by Afosto. Contact us to activate the plugin
2. After activation, the plugin is available in the plugin overview and open the settings
   

1. All shop channels in the account are listed here. Enter the language for each shop channel. Both “English” and “EN” are good. The issue here is which value should be shown on the website to choose a language. Save the settings
   

1. Now go back to the dashboard of a sales channel and open the Hreflang plugin under “Apps”.
2. All shop channels with a hreflang specification are now listed here. In the dropdown fields, choose the corresponding pages and click “Add”
   

1. The pages are now linked together. Search engines now see that these pages are translated versions of each other. It is also possible to make a language switch on the front end of the pages. Please contact Afosto for this.
